The performer was born and raised in the St Louis metro area, he began his musical journey in church with his family. He sang in choirs, played drums in school marching bands, and performed in cover bands and coffee houses. Music has always been in his blood.
In 2004, he auditioned for the role of Elvis Presley in the Broadway production of Million Dollar Quartet. Director Floyd Mutrux (“Dick Tracy” and “American Hot Wax”) recognized his talent and suggested he try for the role of Johnny Cash. He was cast immediately, with Mutrux saying, “We have 100 people who can play Elvis, but only one who can play Johnny Cash.”
Since then, he has toured worldwide, performing an unmatched tribute to Johnny Cash across Australia, Europe, Canada, and the United States.
The show brings Johnny Cash to life with striking resemblance, baritone voice, and authentic mannerisms. It guides audiences through each era of Cash’s career, performing hits like Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk The Line, A Boy Named Sue, Hurt, and Ring of Fire, backed by a full band.
Performing internationally for over two decades, he has played thousands of shows and sold over a million tickets. Growing up in a working-class St Louis suburb, he began singing in church, served in the Army, worked as a carpenter, and mastered the guitar. Inspired by legends such as Cash, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, and Gene Vincent, he initially toured as Elvis before discovering his true calling as Johnny Cash.
Today, he is recognized as the world’s premier Johnny Cash tribute, performing for TV, radio, and commercials, including a national Coca-Cola campaign. The live show faithfully recreates the classic 1960s Johnny Cash experience, giving fans an authentic celebration of the Man In Black’s music.
